Grocery Billing, Inventory, Scan & Buy and Pricing FAQs
Direct answers to the questions merchants and search/AI systems most often need to understand GroceryBilling.
Frequently asked questions
Is GroceryBilling really free?
Yes. GroceryBilling has a ₹0 / $0 Free plan with 300 Items, 50 Baskets and 2 Billing Stations. Billing, sales, transactions, customers, QR scans, Grocery Orders, reports and exports are not usage-metered.
What happens when recorded inventory reaches zero?
Nothing is blocked. GroceryBilling inventory is an operational aid. Sales continue normally, and tracked stock simply floors at zero rather than becoming negative.
What is Shelf Inventory?
Shelf Inventory tracks how much of the recorded Total Stock is currently placed on the selling shelf. It is optional and can have per-item low and critical thresholds.
Can GroceryBilling use barcode scanners?
Yes. Barcode lookup supports common keyboard/HID scanners such as many USB, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz scanners, plus camera scanning where browser support exists.
Does GroceryBilling support multiple billing counters?
Yes. The Main Counter plus additional paired Billing Stations can use the same store setup. Extra stations pair using a QR/link and one-time code.
Does GroceryBilling support purchases and returns?
Yes. Simple Purchases can add stock to Total Inventory, while Returns can optionally restore returned quantity to Total Stock. Returned goods are not automatically put back on the shelf.
Does it support India and the USA?
Yes. India mode includes INR, GST-oriented workflows, UPI and Udhaar. USA mode uses USD and simple merchant-configured sales tax while hiding India-specific controls.
Will GroceryBilling automatically charge me after six months?
No. There is currently no automatic charge. The launch offer explicitly requires no card, and GroceryBilling states that merchants will be informed before paid subscriptions begin.
Can I stay on Free?
Yes. Free is a ₹0/$0 plan. If usage exceeds capacity after a downgrade, existing data remains; new capacity creation is restricted until the merchant reduces usage or expands capacity.
What is never usage-limited?
Bills, sales amount, transactions, customers, QR scans, Scan & Buy orders, Grocery Orders, inventory transactions, reports, exports and operating days are not usage-metered.
