Many USB, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz scanners work by acting like a keyboard. GroceryBilling listens for the code and Enter and performs local catalogue lookup.
Camera scanning is available where supported
Modern browsers that expose barcode detection can use the device camera. Manual search remains the safe fallback.
Loose items do not need barcodes
Loose rice, dal, produce or liquids can remain unbarcoded and use the existing kg/g/L/ml billing flow.
