Purchase, Total Stock and Shelf Stock: Keep the Workflow Simple
A Purchase records goods entering the business and increases Total Stock. Shelf Refill is a separate physical movement that says how much of that stock is placed on the selling shelf.
Purchase → Total Stock
Receiving 100 new Parle-G increases Total Stock by 100. It does not assume all 100 were immediately placed on shelf.
Shelf Refill → Shelf Stock
If 20 are moved to the selling shelf, Shelf Stock increases by 20 while Total Stock remains the same.
Stock Count → correction
Count Shelf replaces the observed Shelf quantity. Manual Total Stock correction remains available separately.
Small merchants can skip Purchases
GroceryBilling does not force purchase entry. Merchants can simply adjust Total Stock or use Shelf Scan if that better matches how they work.
Make GroceryBilling part of your store without changing how you sell.
Start with normal billing. Turn on inventory, Shelf QR, Scan & Buy, online ordering, purchases and additional billing stations when they create value for your business.
