What does this software help a store do?
GroceryBilling is a browser-based grocery checkout and store operations tool for independent retailers. A cashier can search items, use compatible keyboard-mode barcode scanners, bill measured produce by entered quantity, and record payments handled outside the software. Optional inventory, customer QR baskets and paired stations support more of the store.
A web-based POS can reduce dependence on a particular type of computer or dedicated terminal. It does not mean every peripheral integrates automatically: barcode readers should work in standard keyboard/HID mode and receipts are printed using the browser’s print flow.
What happens if the internet drops?
The application is designed around local-first transaction records. Cloud-connected account, configuration and customer ordering features may require connectivity; always export important local records.
How is this different from a full cloud-only POS?
Detailed counter records can remain in the billing browser while catalogue coordination and connected workflows use online services. A stored transaction on one device is not automatically a centrally archived historical invoice on another.
Grocery workflows at a glance

How to get started
- Create a store with the correct country and currency.
- Add commonly sold products and barcodes.
- Test a scanner and browser printer on the intended device.
- Complete a sample bill and confirm the receipt.
- Only then enable stock tracking, QR baskets or additional stations.
What to plan for before switching
GroceryBilling is not an integrated payment processor, hardware-scale driver or complete enterprise supermarket ERP. Test scanner behaviour, printing and internet recovery on the hardware you plan to use.
Questions store owners ask
Does GroceryBilling require a dedicated POS machine?
No proprietary grocery POS terminal is required. Use a supported web browser and test the peripherals you want to keep.
Does it automatically charge bank cards?
No. The cashier records payments taken through a separately managed terminal or other payment method.
